Liebster Awards!

I hope you had a great Monday! I got two new Liebster awards and since they think they're a great way to know a bit more about the people behind the blogs, here are my answers to both.

I got my first nomination from Mónica, check her lovely blog El rincón de Mónica. She's such a sweetheart and always answers all your doubts about products and beauty problems. Thank you Monica, you always leave the nicest comments!

1. You never go out of home without... keys, phone and wallet!

2. If you had to live on another country, which would it be? It would be New York, in the USA.

3. Your work or education is related with your blog? Yes, the master I did was related to the fashion and beauty industry :)

4. Would you like to expand your blog and talk about other subjects apart from beauty? I'm comfortable with what I'm doing now but I will probably expand it in the future. I would love to share stuff about fashion and also about travelling (which are my other passions).

5. Which is your favorite season? Summer!

My second nomination is from Genevieve, her blog Vievelle is so so pretty! You should check it out! I think it's like a beauty oasis, I feel so calm when I scroll through her posts and read them. And she's also super nice :)

1. Favourite song and or artist? I don't have any favorite song because I like so so many! But right now I'm obsessed with Sugar by Maroon 5 (and Adam Levine!)

2. If you had to wear one shade of lipstick for the rest of you life, which would it be? I would go for Dior Addict Lip Glow in Pink. It creates a unique shade on your lips which is really natural and also works as a lip balm so I would stick to this one product. But I would miss so much the reds!

3. Which are you more likely to splurge on, eyeshadow or lipstick or foundation? Mmmm... Probably the most expensive cosmetics I own are foundations but if I do a makeup haul I splurge on eyeshadows. I usually fall in love with all the colors!

4. If you had to choose a case for your phone that would last for the next 3 years, and the colours you can select from are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, and indigo, which colour? I think I would choose the red one, depending on the exact shade.

5. You have $5 and are at your local drug store buying gum, and spot a great deal on Charlotte Tilbury products. The lipstick shade you have been eyeing is on sale, there is only ONE left and you get the feeling it won't be there for long. However, you didn't plan on this happening and you left you wallet with the bulk of you money at home. What do you do?

a) Run as fast as you can home for your wallet.

b) Take the lipstick, hide it somewhere in the store, then go home for your wallet, knowing that your prize is safe.

c) Call you friend to drop everything and get to the store now.

I choose b! I'll hide it somewhere nobody will find it! hahahaha

6. What would you do if you were accidentally left in a department store overnight after they closed? Mmmm... first I will freak out and call somebody to help me, then if I couldn't get out I would look for a couch to sleep in after walking all around and checking the shops. It must be a weird feeling to be all alone in  a department store!

7. What was your worst make up emergency (smeared eyeliner, runny mascara) in public and how did you fix it? The only two situations I can think of right now is red lipstick on the teeth (that I just take away with my fingers) and getting a "mask" effect with badly applied foundation. To fix this second situation I will just use my fingers to spread the foundation a bit more to the neck to try to conceal the darker color.

8. Favourite eyeshadow look? Brown smokey eye with black eyeliner and mascara.

9. If you could only drink one tea/coffee for the next 5 years, what would it be? A white chocolate mocha from Starbucks.

10. What food would you choose if you had to eat only that food for a week? Pasta, because you can make different kind of recipes with it.

11. What is one beauty product that will always have a place in your purse? In my purse I think concealer and lipbalm.

These are all my answers, I hope you have enjoyed them! These are my five nominees: Sobre Todo Reviews // Oh Calíope // 76ist // Linda Libra Loca // Emily Jane Webb

And these are my five questions for them:

1. What's your favourite lipstick?

2. Do you have a signature perfume?

3. If you could pack your luggage and travel anywhere right now, where would you go?

4. What was the last beauty product you buy, that you regret buying?

5. Do you have a beauty icon?

Kisses!

Red Lips - Look 2: Golden Hour (Pleasure Me Red by Maybelline)

photo golden hour header_zpsbvdysyqt.jpg For this second red lips look I opted for a classic golden eye combined with deep red lips, exactly the shade Pleasure Me Red by Maybelline. This is a look I would wear to a formal dinner or event and during Christmas holidays. This look has some more steps than the other one since I added a bit of contouring to add some depth to my cheeks. I hope you enjoy the step by step guide!

I started by applying foundation to even my face. I used the Studio Fix Fluid in NC20 by M·A·C and applied it with the Stippling Brush by Real Techniques. I'll do a review on this foundation later this week so stay tuned!

After that I prepped the eyes with an eyeshadow base (Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base by Nars) to make the eyeshadows last longer. And then the steps begin!

 photo step12_zpspz1u4ior.jpg
1. Apply with your own fingers the Color Tattoo eyeshadow in 75 - 24K Gold by Maybelline. This will create a golden shiny base that will last for hours.

2. With the brush PRO-62 by Burlesque go over it with the S2 Gold Gleam shadow by Shiseido. I know this shade is discontinued so you can use any other powder gold eyeshadow instead.

 photo step34_zpsktkngbgp.jpg
3. From the Tamanna Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills (you can read my review here) take Gilded (a vintage gold) to add some depth to the crease, and apply it with the brush Eyes 212 by Kiko. The flat shape of this brush adapts to the crease and makes it easier to apply the eyeshadow on that area.

4. From the same palette take Chocolate (a deep dark brown) and go over Gilded to add even more depth to the outer crease. I used the 219 brush by M·A·C which has a pointed shape that allows you to control exactly where you put the eyeshadow. Then, blend with the brush 217 by M·A·C.

 photo step56_zpsxtg71azj.jpg
5. To even out the skintone under the browbone and create a softer crease cut, apply the Microshadow in Desert by Make Up Store (you can read the review here) with the fluffy brush 213 Eyes by Kiko.

6. Time to add some eyeliner! I used the Felt Tip Liner in Jet Black by NYX and darkened it with the Noir Eyeshadow from the Tamanna Palette (I used the 228 brush by M·A·C for this).

 photo step 78_zpsrj7bru9c.jpg
7. Under the lower lash line, use a brown liner to define your eyes a bit more without going overboard. For this I used the Eyebrow Pencil in 2 by YSL. Also add mascara on your top lashes, you can use whatever you want, in this look I opted for the Passioneyes Mascara by D&G.

8. This time I wanted some really natural brows so I just brushed and fixed them with the Brow Gel by Nars, but if you want to you can draw them or shape them however you want.

photo step910_zpsvtvifm0z.jpg 9. Highlight the browbone with Nylon by M·A·C. You can use any other highlight shade you own but if you haven't got one, this is a beautiful shade and I recommend you to try it the next time you visit a M·A·C counter. I used the 239 Eye Shader brush by M·A·C for this.

10. The final step for the eyes is concealer. I used my Pro Longwear Concealer in NC20 by M·A·C and applied it under the eyes with the Concealer Brush by Beter. Then I blended everything with the Stippling Brush by Real Techniques which still had some foundation left.

 photo step 1112_zpsxybiohn3.jpg
11. Contour your cheeks with the Contour Kit by Anastasia Beverly Hills (read the review here). Apply the color Fawn with the PRO-39 brush by Burlesque under the cheekbone and then highlight the undereye area with the shade Banana from the same palette with the 190 brush by M·A·C. I know it's a foundation brush but it's flat surface helped me to press on the powder shade on the skin.

12. To add a pop of colour on the cheeks use the Angled Blush Brush 40 by Sephora and softly apply the Powder Blush in Mauve by NYX from the apples of your cheeks up to the highest part of your cheekbones.

 photo step 1314_zpsgihqzwyg.jpg
13. The final steps: the lips! First draw your mouth with the Cherry Lip Pencil by M·A·C. You can fill in your lips to make your lipstick stay longer.

14. Finish the look with the Lipstick in Pleasure Me Red by Maybelline. I applied it directly from the tube ut you can use a lip brush to create sharper lines.

I hope you have enjoyed this new look from the Red Lipsticks Series and I hope you use the tutorial to recreate this makeup at home. At the end of the post you can find a big picture with all the steps together so you can save it or Pin it to use it as a reference in the future. Do you have any specific look or idea that you would like to see on the next tutorial? Please tell me in the comments! Kisses and I hope you start the week with energy!

New In! Brow Satin by Maybelline - Review // Reseña

This is the last week to enter my GIVEAWAY! Click here to participate! // Ésta es la última semana para participar en el SORTEO! Haz click aquí para entrar!

Recently Maybelline released a new brow product, the Brow Satin. Is a double ended plastic pencil which has 2 products in 1, a liner and an eyeshadow. The wax liner is very skinny, perfect to fill in gaps and define the shape of your brows a little more. The shadow comes out of an sponge, it gives a soft and natural look to the brow and also sets the pencil.

It comes in four different colors: dark blonde, medium brown, dark brown and mahogany red. I picked up dark brown and it matches my hair perfectly. The formula is water resistant from what I've tried, I wouldn't say that is waterproof but I can assure you that your brows won't melt under the rain!

It's really easy to use, if you turn it, the pencil comes out and you can easily draw small hairs. The sponge fills itself with more eyeshadow everytime you push it in. I have some doubts with this auto-filling design, I'm not sure how long it will last before it dries out. I'll have to figure it out with time...

It's not super pigmented (as you can see on the pictures) but I think it gives a really natural look to the brows, so if you're looking for a product that helps you to define them without going overboard, this one is for you. If you like really strong and defined brows you should check any other option, like the Dipbrow Pomade from Anastasia Beverly Hills (you can read my review of it here). I also think that is a nice product to take it with you on the bag or to travel without needing much more products, just a gel to fix the brows.

It costs around which I think is a fair price for the product. I just hope that the eyeshadow would last and it wouldn't get dry too soon. Have you tried this product? Do you fill your brows daily? Kisses!

Jumbo Eye Pencil by NYX // Review & Swatches // Iced Mocha, Lime, Yogurt, Cottage Cheese & Dark Brown

photo Jumbo eye pencils by NYX_zpsyb3iwdx0.jpg

Recently I bought 5 new color of the Jumbo Eye Pencils by NYX. I already owned the color Milk (a matte white that I used as an eyeshadow base) that I really like, so when I found out that there was a 50% off on the brand I grabbed this five colors to create some looks.

But as good as is sounds, I was quite disappointed with some of the shades I bought, as you will see in the next pictures. The colors are all beautiful but some of the shades doesn't last too much on the eye, even with eyeshadow base! I'm going to talk about each shade separately so you can see which didn't work out as expected.

photo Jumbo eye pencils by NYX 2_zpsajm1a47t.jpg
From left to right: Lime, Iced Mocha, Dark Brown, Yogurt & Cottage Cheese.

1. Cottage Cheese (608) - A pearl white, perfect to add a touch of light on the inner corner of the eyes or smudge it under the browbone. I got no problems with this one since I haven't used it on the lid, just to highlight,

2. Yogurt (611) - An iridescent soft pink. As Cottage Cheese, I think this is a beautiful shade to add a touch of light on the inner corner for smokey eyes. I've used it for my Monte Carlo red lips look (here). I didn't have any problems with this shade but again I haven't used it on the lid as the others.

 photo Dark brown by NYX_zpspt1xpndd.jpg
3. Dark Brown (602) - This is were the problems begin! This is a matte dark chocolate brown shade. It looks wonderful when you just applied it but in less than two hours it already creased on me (and I don't have oily lids, I promise!). I gave this shade a second chance and used it with Nars' eyeshadow base and I got almost the same results, a bit less of creasing, but still a lot. Second problem, in less than six hours it was almost completely gone... and in eight it had disappeared. So I wouldn't recommend you to get this shade.

 photo Lime by NYX_zpsbwbzfd06.jpg
4. Lime (613) - The most problematic shade of the bunch! I was so disappointed with this one! It's a beautiful golden green that looks really beautiful when you apply it but in less than an hour it already creased and in six hours it was totally gone. Too bad because it was my favorite color of the five.

 photo Iced mocha by NYX_zpszq5fp0h6.jpg
5. Iced Mocha (617) - This wasn't as bad as Dark Brown or Lime but still creased a bit and disappeared after eight hours of wear. This is a soft golden brown with a lot of shine.

SOLUTIONS FOR THE PROBLEM: If you already bought them as me and you don't know what to use them for or how to stop them from disappearing of your lid, these are my recommendations:

1. Always use an eyeshadow base, Nars or Essence (low cost) have both great eyeshadows base. They help a bit with the creasing problem.

2. Use them over another crem eyeshadow that works for you. I personally use the Tattoo eyeshadows from Maybelline.

3. Apply powder eyeshadows over them to fix them and enhance their colors.

4. Use them only as highlighters in the inner corners or under the browbones, or to add some depth to your eye look on the outer corners. I would recommend to soften the edges with a brush. I don't know why but it kind of work out for me and made them stay longer.

I was so disappointed with these shades... After having used the Milk shade for many many looks I was really hoping to love these ones as well but as you can see my haul turned out completely wrong. The good thing is that I only spent half the money they usually cost. Mayeb these work for other people but definitely these are not for me.

I hope the review is useful for you and if you have any recommendations on how to solve this problem, please tell me in the comments! Kisses and have a lovely weekend!

PS. To sharpen these kind of pencils I use the sharpener from Essence, it only costs around 1,8 !

Claire's Haul // Compras en Claire's

I went the other day to a shopping mall and there was a Claire's. I hadn't been in one for a long time so I wanted to see if I could find something for the hair (which is what I usually go for in Claire's). In the end I ended up getting a few more things, they had a 3x2 offer that I couldn't resist. This were the products I took home with me:

1. Metallic Feather Temporary Tattoos (4,99 ): Music festivals are just around the corner and I think these are a fun way to add a touch of bling without going overboard. Besides they were so cheap that I could resist to try this new craze that is everywhere!

2. Small Faux Brown Hair Donut (8,50 ): It's like the classic donuts for the hair used to create ballerina buns but covered with brown fake hair, so in case your hair moves and uncovers the donut, it doesn't look bad because it looks like your hair underneath.

3. Nail Art Wheel in Silver (3,95 ): This wheel contains small silver studs to make different nail arts. I don't have anything like that in my stash so I thought it may be a good addition for future manicures.

4. Neon Pink Nail Art Brush Set (4,99 ):  I didn't have any specific brush for the nails, I had been using a toothpick to creat my manicures for ages and I wanted to give this brushes a try without spending too much. I hope their quality is good enough to work properly with them.

5. Pack of 30 Mini Brown Hair Elastics (3,99 ): I wanted some small elastics to use when I do half updos or braids on my hair. The usual small plastic ones break my hair or get stuck when I try to tie them and the bigger ones stand out too much when I'm trying to do something different from a ponytail or bun. I think these are the perfect replacement to those small rubber bands.

6. Plaited Dark Brown Faux Hair Head Wrap (5,95 ): I have been looking for a faux braid like this one for ages and I couldn't find one that matched my hair color. Finally the other day I found it here and surprisingly it was cheaper than what I expected. I have to figure out how to take off that excessive shine so it would look more natural and totally blend with my hair.

This was all I got in Claire's! Do you usually shop there? Do you use this kind of accesories? Kisses!

Red Lips - Look 1: Monte Carlo by NYX

Here it comes the first look from my red lipsticks collection! I've used the color Monte Carlo from NYX. I hope you like it!

1. I started by applying Dior's Star Foundation (review here) in 030 Medium Beige with the Oval 6 brush by M·A·C all over my face and my eyes to get an even color. Since it was a sample, it was a bit darker than my skintone so I have to appy it also all over my neck to match my face.

 photo 210_zpswgyjxehb.jpg

2. I wanted to create a soft smokey eye in brown shades so I applied first the Jumbo Eye Pencil in Iced Mocha (617) by NYX all over the lid. I smudge it with my own fingers to diffuse the edges.

3. Then I added depth to the eye by applying the Jumbo Eye Pencil in Dark Brown (602) by NYX on the outer corner. I used the pencils 217 by M·A·C and Eyes 213 by KIKO to blend it completely.

 photo 410_zps4t36ft66.jpg

4. I gave some light to the eye makeup by using the Jumbo Pencil in Yogurt (611) by NYX in the inner corner of the eyes and blend it a tiny bit with my fingers.

5. I wanted to add a pop of color without going overboard so I applied the Pearlglide Intense Eyeliner in Designer Purple by M·A·C under the lower lash line. It has a bit of glitter so you must be careful and don't put it in the waterline because it might irritate your eyes.

 photo 610_zpsyjv9phir.jpg

6. Then I lined my eyes and created a long flick at the end with the Stylo Yeux Waterproof in Noir Intense (88) by Chanel. I also used it on the waterline and blended it a bit with the purple liner.

 photo 79_zps6leewrvx.jpg

7. This is where the fun begins...fake lashes! Seriously, I had to take them off and put them on again around five times until I got them "right". I have to practice a lot to master the fake lashes application. I used the 031 Naturals by Eylure, they are pre-glued so they are even easier to apply since you don't need to use glue, but still was hard for me.

8. After the eyes I finished off the face with the usual concealer and brows routine (you can read it here) and then added bronzer all over. I applied Sun Glow in Deep Bronze (002) by Catrice with the Face 102 by KIKO. Then I added a bit of blush, using Accord Perfect Blush in Vrai Rose (115) by L'Oréal and the Angled Brush 50 by Sephora.

9. Time to finish the look with some red lips! As the post's title says, I used the Soft Matte Lip Cream in Monte Carlo (SMLC10) by NYX. I applied it using its own wand.

And that's the finished look, I hope you like it! I know I used a lot of Jumbo Pencils but I bought them recently (there was a 50% off on NYX)  and I wanted to use them because I'm going to do a review soon. I'll work a bit more with these lashes and the other ones I bought and do a review on them too.

It's a strong look, this is something I would wear to go out, not on a daily basis. I will do a more natual look with another red lipstick to show you how I wear them to work. I hope you've enjoyed the tutorial. If you have any doubts or any specific look with red lips you would like to see please tell me in the comments. By the way, at the end of the post there's a big picture with all the steps together so you can download and keep it or Pin It! To check it out whenever you want. Kisses!

Dior Star Teint Studio Foundation - Review // Reseña

I got a sample of Dior Star Teint Studio foundation in a magazine some months ago and finally I tried it last Saturday. And now here it goes my review, with my opinion, pros and cons!

Opinion: I got the color 030 Medium Beige which was a bit darker for my skin but I applied it on the neck to avoid a "mask" effect. It's a fluid foundation so I used a brush to spread it all over my face, exactly the Oval 6 by M·A·C. You don't need that much product to cover your face, it has medium coverage so I have to reapply a bit more around my nose where I have some redness. It's very light so I don't feel like I'm wearing too much product over my face.

It has a natural finish, not too dewy but not completely matte. It lasted 8 hours on me but I think it's able to last even longer (I had to go to sleep so I had to take it off!). It doesn't oxidize or look cakey even if you apply more than one layer. The only thing I didn't liked that much is that it emphasized a bit the texture of my skin (right now I'm having some problems and I have a bumpy texture on my nose area).

I really liked it but still I don't know if I would pay 50$ for a full size bottle. I think I still prefer other ones that I still have open but probably I will check it out again in the future if I'm in need of a new foundation and when my skin is back on track again.

Pros:

- It's lightweight and doesn't cake.

- Lasts for more than 8 hours.

- Natural finish, not shiny or matte.

- Beautiful packaging.

Cons:

- It's an expensive foundation.

- Emphasizes my skin texture.

- Not a big range of colors.

- If you are looking for a full coverage this one is not for you.

My skin before and after using Dior Star Teint Studio

My Red Lipsticks Collection // Mi Colección de Labiales Rojos

These are all the red lipsticks I own. As you can see the range goes from a bright orange-y red to a deep oxblood. I'm starting a new series where I will make a different look wearing each of these lipsticks so you can see different types of makeups with red lips. But first let's talk about the shades!

1. Rouge Dior in Rouge Flamboyant (638) by Dior: This is the brightest one and has an orange undertone. It's a bit sheer so you have to apply two to three layers of it to be completely opaque on the lips. Is really hydrating and feels really smooth on the lips. It lasts around 6 to 7 hours on the lips without moving, even after drinking or eating.

2. Rouge Coco in Cambon (31) by Chanel: This was the first red lipstick I ever bought and I still love it. It gravitates towards the pink hues, like a cherry red. As the Rouge Dior, it has a moisturizing formula and you nedd two to three layer to cover completely the lips. It lasts 6 to 7 hours but I recommend using it with a lipliner otherwise it tends to feather a bit.

3. Soft Matte Lip Cream in Monte Carlo by NYX: The latest one to enter into my stash. After trying other soft matte lip creams I fell in love with the formula and applicator and I couldn't resist to grab two more colors. This was one of them, a deep crimson red that has a velvet finish. It covers the lip with just one swipe and lasts around 4 hours, but is so easy to reapply that I don't mind doing it.

4. Retro Matte Lipstick in RiRi Woo by M·A·C: A limited edition lisptick from the first Rihanna's collaboration with M·A·C. I was so lucky to get it, it was sold out everywhere! Its a completely matte lipstick, in a deep red color with cool undertones. It's similar to Ruby Woo but I prefer the cool undertones of this one better. It's a bit drying so you have to use balm underneath to keep your lips perfect through the day. It lasts around six to eight hours so it's the perfect red to go out. I always get asked about it when I wear it and probably this is my favorite of the bunch with Chanel's Cambon.

5. Color Sensational in Lady Red (527) by Maybelline: I was living abroad and I didn't have any red lipsticks with me but I didn't want to spend a fortune so I went to the Maybelline stand and I checked out the reds. I love their neon colors so I thought that the quality of their red lipstick was going to be as good and I was completely right. They're super pigmented and soft. They have an hydrating formula and a beautiful sheen finish. The first one I got was Lady Red, a medium deep red with cool undertones, what I would call a classic red.

6. Color Sensational in Pleasure Me Red (547) by Maybelline: Days after trying Lady Red, I went back to the counter and got a second lipstick, Pleasure Me Red. This one is darker and deeper, I would decribe it as a blood red. With both of them I get around 6 hours of wear.

7. Matte Lipstick in Russian Red by M·A·C: One of the most famous reds by M·A·C with the Ruby Woo. It's an intense lipstick with a rich deep color with blue undertones. With one swipe it completely covers your lips. It has a matte finish but is not as drying as RiRi Woo. Even though I love the color, the problem with this texture is that you need a perfect skin on your lips because otherwise it emphasizes any crack or flake you might have. It lasts 6 to 8 hours without fading.

Finished Products - February '15 // Productos Terminados - Feb. '15

Before I start the post I just wanted to remind you the ongoing GIVEAWAY that I have on my blog! Is really easy to participate, just a comment and a follow on Bloglovin', and is open to everyone. Join it by clicking on the link! :)

¡Antes de comenzar el post os quería recordar el SORTEO que tengo en el blog! Es muy fácil participar, basta con un comentario y seguirme en Bloglovin'. Además puede unirse todo el mundo. Animaros a participar, click al link! :)

And now to the post, the finished products of February 2015.

Conditioner for Colored Hair by Belle (only available in Spain): My mom bought this conditioner for her hair and I also used it and none of us have felt any kind of improvement in our hair. It was like applying nothing so I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a conditioner that protects your color or makes your hair softer. The good thing is that it's a cheap brand so I didn't loose that much money. I won't buy it again.

Daily Microfoliant by Dermalogica (54$): This is an amazing skin product if you're having some problems with zits, bumps, acne or dullness. It' a gentle face exfoliant with a rice-based powder formula that activates upon contact with water, releasing Papain, Salicylic Acid and Rice Enzymes. Basically you apply it doing circular motions on the face mixing it with some water, like if it was a face mask. If you have time you can let it dry so it's even more effective. After that you wash it off using water again and you'll feel your skin cleaner, softer and brighter. It has improved my skin a lot and I have been able to apply it daily since it's appropriate for sensitive skins also. I know it's expensive but it has lasted me for more than a year.

Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam by The Face Shop: This was the first corean skin product I've ever used and it messed up my skin so badly! I was hoping to love this product since everyone is talking so good about corean skincare products... I tried a small sample before buying the full size product and it had worked totally fine but when I started using this cleansing foam for three to four days my skin became itchy and irritated, even with bumply texture in some parts. I thought that maybe it was because it was a bit too strong so I started using it only once a week and still my skin reacted really bad to it.

Clearly I stopped using it because my skin was all wrong, with breakouts and red patches. I don't know what ingredient could have made such a bad reaction... I've read it's a brightening product so maybe is not good for my sensitive skin. I was advised by the shop ownder which is specialized in corean cosmetics so I trusted her. Anyway, I had to throw this away and start from zero with my skin again to get it back in shape so I won't be buying this product never again.

Hand Cream by Druni (only available in Spain): This was an ok hydrating cream. It's a nice product if you don't have super dry skin since it absorbs really quickly and smells good (like a classic hand cream, nothing special). But if you need an extra moisturizing product this one is not for you since you might need something more potent. It was a gift from the shop so I'm not sure how much it costs but it probably is not expensive at all. I wouldn't buy this again since I've used hand creams that I've liked more.

Fix+ by M·A·C (22$): This has been a must for me for some years now. Probably is my 3rd or 4th bottle and I've already bought another one. As the brand describes it, is an aqua-spritz of vitamin and minerals, infused with a calm-the-skin blend of green tea, chamomile, cucumber. You can use it before or after applying your makeup. If you use it before, it moisturizes a bit your skin and creates a fresh canvas for the foundation. If you use it after (which is what I usually do), it helps to fix the finished makeup and gives a more natural look, not powdery. It's not like you can't live without it but it's a nice feeling to use it to finish off your makeup, specially during summer. There's also available a travel size which is great to try it before buying the full size.

Nail Lacquer in Honey by Dolce & Gabbana - Review // Reseña

I got this nail polish as a gift this last Christmas and I haven't done a review yet! I had been looking for a nude nail lacquer for a long time and I hadn't found one I truly loved till I came across this beautiful shade from D&G. I have liked previous colors but Honey stole my heart . It has the right amount of pink, is super creamy and covers the nails with just two coats. With other shades I had to apply three or four coats to get an even color on the nail and seriously I hate to wait such a loooong time for them to dry.
It lasted on my nails 5 days, no chipping and minor tip wear which is really good since I'm all day working on my computer and tipping on my keyboard. I added a top coat (Good to go! by Essie) which is the one that I always use and helps me to keep my nail polishes intact for a few more days.
The only problem with this nail polish is its cost... 23€ is quite a high price for a nail polish. Still is a high end brand with an extra beautiful packaging and the formula is outstanding so if you splurge on it at least you're getting a good product (something that not always happens).
And that's all about Honey! Do you like this shade? Do you wear nude nails? Whis is your favorite nude nail polish? Please tell me in the comments, I would love to know your recommendations! xx

Rodarte: The New Eyeliner // El Nuevo Eyeliner según Rodarte

I love to watch fashion shows each season to start dreaming of what we're going to wear. But what I really really like is to scroll through all the backstage pictures...There's something so pretty about them! There you catch a glimpse of all the details, the work behind a fashion show and also the chaos. Models running with the heels on their hands, getting their hair and makeup done by more than tree people at the same time, changing clothes at the speed of light... But in the midst of all that craziness is where the magic happens and we get to see some of the best makeup artists in the world creating beautiful and edgy looks that inspire us for the rest of the year.

During NYFW I loved the beauty look created by James Kaliardos for Rodarte's show. It was a delicate makeup with a new twist on the eyeliner. I trully liked what they did last season with the pierced brows and the super natural and glowy complexion so I was looking forward to see their new collection and look.

Glossy lips, peach lids with big eyelashes, rosy cheeks and Swarovski crystals glued under the lower lash line to create a magical eyeliner. Those were the keys to Rodarte's makeup. All that combined with a flowy hairstyle styled with soft beach waves. It's supposed to be the look we will be wearing next autumn/winter but I think is fresh and simple, perfect for the spring that is almost around the corner.

At the end of the post you can find the whole list of products used to get this look. I hope you like it as much as I do! Is there a fashion show look that you would like me to recreate? Kisses

Step 1 Skin Equalizer: Smoothing Primer nº2 by Make Up Forever - Review // Reseña

I love when I got a mail from Sephora and I find inside a small sample! If I'm having a bad day it changes it a bit! I know, I know, It's really easy to make me happy :)

Today arrived to my email the new base by Make Up Forever. They have released eight different (at least in Spain), which I'll talk about later. But first I will talk about the one I got that's called Smoothing Primer nº2. It's supposed to minimize the look of pores, wrinkles and fine lines. It also helps to keep the makeup flawless all day long. The full size costs around 36$ so before buying the it, is great to be able to try them on, since there are so many different formulations.

Does it work? As you can see on the pictures it diminishes a bit the aspect of the pores. I've added a point of reference so it helps you to spot the difference. It makes easier to apply the makeup and it made it last all night long. Still I'm not sure if I would pay the 36$ since I didn't quite feel a lot of improvement on my skin. Even it has some color it goes completely invisible on the skin and leaves it with a silicone feeling. I don't have really big pores so maybe that's why I don't see a big difference. Maybe on other skins it works better but right now I don't think I'll buy the full size product, first I want to try other bases and compare them.

These are the other available formulas:

Texture
Mattifying Primer: reduces shine.
Smoothing Primer: evens the skin's texture.
Hydrating Primer: restores skin's balance.
Nourishing Primer: moisturizes and comforts.
Redness Correcting: Primer neutralizes.

Tone
Radiant Primer Pink: adds radiance to light to medium skin.
Radiant Primer Yellow: adds radiance to light to medium skin.
Radiant Primer Peach: adds radiance to medium to tan skin.
