Olivia Palermo is without a doubt one of the queens of the street style. Anything she wears is elevated to the category of must-have the moment she steps in the busy streets of New York. 

Recently I stumbled in an old pic by her featuring a monogrammed chambray shirt and I totally fell in love with it. She paired it with a pair of destroyed skinny jeans & gem encrusted navy slippers, a beautiful and comfortable combo for spring.

Cult Gaia - Ark Bag // The affordable must-have that has taken social media by storm

Cut Crease Makeup Look

If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw this look yesterday. It's my first attempt ever on a cut crease makeup look and even though I know that I have to improve a lot, I was quite happy with how it turned out.

I was browsing through Pinterest and saw some looks made with this technique si I decided to give it a try, but it turned out to be harder than expected. Next time I'll make the flick on the end a bit higher to open up the eyes more. Anyway, here are the products I used to get this look:

Red Lips - Look 2: Golden Hour (Pleasure Me Red by Maybelline)

For this second red lips look I opted for a classic golden eye combined with deep red lips, exactly the shade Pleasure Me Red by Maybelline. This is a look I would wear to a formal dinner or event and during Christmas holidays. This look has some more steps than the other one since I added a bit of contouring to add some depth to my cheeks. I hope you enjoy the step by step guide!

I started by applying foundation to even my face. I used the Studio Fix Fluid in NC20 by M·A·C and applied it with the Stippling Brush by Real Techniques. I'll do a review on this foundation later this week so stay tuned!

After that I prepped the eyes with an eyeshadow base (Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base by Nars) to make the eyeshadows last longer. And then the steps begin!

1. Apply with your own fingers the Color Tattoo eyeshadow in 75 - 24K Gold by Maybelline. This will create a golden shiny base that will last for hours.

2. With the brush PRO-62 by Burlesque go over it with the S2 Gold Gleam shadow by Shiseido. I know this shade is discontinued so you can use any other powder gold eyeshadow instead.

3. From the Tamanna Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills (you can read my review here) take Gilded (a vintage gold) to add some depth to the crease, and apply it with the brush Eyes 212 by Kiko. The flat shape of this brush adapts to the crease and makes it easier to apply the eyeshadow on that area.

4. From the same palette take Chocolate (a deep dark brown) and go over Gilded to add even more depth to the outer crease. I used the 219 brush by M·A·C which has a pointed shape that allows you to control exactly where you put the eyeshadow. Then, blend with the brush 217 by M·A·C.

5. To even out the skintone under the browbone and create a softer crease cut, apply the Microshadow in Desert by Make Up Store (you can read the review here) with the fluffy brush 213 Eyes by Kiko.

6. Time to add some eyeliner! I used the Felt Tip Liner in Jet Black by NYX and darkened it with the Noir Eyeshadow from the Tamanna Palette (I used the 228 brush by M·A·C for this).

7. Under the lower lash line, use a brown liner to define your eyes a bit more without going overboard. For this I used the Eyebrow Pencil in 2 by YSL. Also add mascara on your top lashes, you can use whatever you want, in this look I opted for the Passioneyes Mascara by D&G.

8. This time I wanted some really natural brows so I just brushed and fixed them with the Brow Gel by Nars, but if you want to you can draw them or shape them however you want.

9. Highlight the browbone with Nylon by M·A·C. You can use any other highlight shade you own but if you haven't got one, this is a beautiful shade and I recommend you to try it the next time you visit a M·A·C counter. I used the 239 Eye Shader brush by M·A·C for this. 

10. The final step for the eyes is concealer. I used my Pro Longwear Concealer in NC20 by M·A·C and applied it under the eyes with the Concealer Brush by Beter. Then I blended everything with the Stippling Brush by Real Techniques which still had some foundation left.

11. Contour your cheeks with the Contour Kit by Anastasia Beverly Hills (read the review here). Apply the color Fawn with the PRO-39 brush by Burlesque under the cheekbone and then highlight the undereye area with the shade Banana from the same palette with the 190 brush by M·A·C. I know it's a foundation brush but it's flat surface helped me to press on the powder shade on the skin.

12. To add a pop of colour on the cheeks use the Angled Blush Brush 40 by Sephora and softly apply the Powder Blush in Mauve by NYX from the apples of your cheeks up to the highest part of your cheekbones.

13. The final steps: the lips! First draw your mouth with the Cherry Lip Pencil by M·A·C. You can fill in your lips to make your lipstick stay longer.

14. Finish the look with the Lipstick in Pleasure Me Red by Maybelline. I applied it directly from the tube ut you can use a lip brush to create sharper lines.

Red Lips - Look 1: Monte Carlo by NYX

Here it comes the first look from my red lipsticks collection! I've used the color Monte Carlo from NYX. I hope you like it!

1. I started by applying Dior's Star Foundation (review here) in 030 Medium Beige with the Oval 6 brush by M·A·C all over my face and my eyes to get an even color. Since it was a sample, it was a bit darker than my skintone so I have to appy it also all over my neck to match my face.

2. I wanted to create a soft smokey eye in brown shades so I applied first the Jumbo Eye Pencil in Iced Mocha (617) by NYX all over the lid. I smudge it with my own fingers to diffuse the edges.

3. Then I added depth to the eye by applying the Jumbo Eye Pencil in Dark Brown (602) by NYX on the outer corner. I used the pencils 217 by M·A·C and Eyes 213 by KIKO to blend it completely.

4. I gave some light to the eye makeup by using the Jumbo Pencil in Yogurt (611) by NYX in the inner corner of the eyes and blend it a tiny bit with my fingers.

5. I wanted to add a pop of color without going overboard so I applied the Pearlglide Intense Eyeliner in Designer Purple by M·A·C under the lower lash line. It has a bit of glitter so you must be careful and don't put it in the waterline because it might irritate your eyes.

6. Then I lined my eyes and created a long flick at the end with the Stylo Yeux Waterproof in Noir Intense (88) by Chanel. I also used it on the waterline and blended it a bit with the purple liner.

7. This is where the fun begins...fake lashes! Seriously, I had to take them off and put them on again around five times until I got them "right". I have to practice a lot to master the fake lashes application. I used the 031 Naturals by Eylure, they are pre-glued so they are even easier to apply since you don't need to use glue, but still was hard for me.

8. After the eyes I finished off the face with the usual concealer and brows routine (you can read it here) and then added bronzer all over. I applied Sun Glow in Deep Bronze (002) by Catrice with the Face 102 by KIKO. Then I added a bit of blush, using Accord Perfect Blush in Vrai Rose (115) by L'Oréal and the Angled Brush 50 by Sephora.

9. Time to finish the look with some red lips! As the post's title says, I used the Soft Matte Lip Cream in Monte Carlo (SMLC10) by NYX. I applied it using its own wand.

And that's the finished look, I hope you like it! I know I used a lot of Jumbo Pencils but I bought them recently (there was a 50% off on NYX)  and I wanted to use them because I'm going to do a review soon. I'll work a bit more with these lashes and the other ones I bought and do a review on them too.

It's a strong look, this is something I would wear to go out, not on a daily basis. I will do a more natual look with another red lipstick to show you how I wear them to work. Rodarte: The New Eyeliner // El Nuevo Eyeliner según Rodarte

 

I love to watch fashion shows each season to start dreaming of what we're going to wear. But what I really really like is to scroll through all the backstage pictures...There's something so pretty about them! There you catch a glimpse of all the details, the work behind a fashion show and also the chaos. Models running with the heels on their hands, getting their hair and makeup done by more than tree people at the same time, changing clothes at the speed of light... But in the midst of all that craziness is where the magic happens and we get to see some of the best makeup artists in the world creating beautiful and edgy looks that inspire us for the rest of the year.

During NYFW I loved the beauty look created by James Kaliardos for Rodarte's show. It was a delicate makeup with a new twist on the eyeliner. I trully liked what they did last season with the pierced brows and the super natural and glowy complexion so I was looking forward to see their new collection and look.

Glossy lips, peach lids with big eyelashes, rosy cheeks and Swarovski crystals glued under the lower lash line to create a magical eyeliner. Those were the keys to Rodarte's makeup. All that combined with a flowy hairstyle styled with soft beach waves. It's supposed to be the look we will be wearing next autumn/winter but I think is fresh and simple, perfect for the spring that is almost around the corner.

Contoured Look // Look Contorno Definido

I wore this look as a base for my carnival costume and since I think is something wearable I wanted to share it with you so you can see something a bit different but still nice to wear to go out. I didn't have any special ideas in mind, I just wanted to have a strong contour and some kind of brown smokey eye. The eyes turned out darker than I thought and I even add eyeshadow under the eye (something I don't usually do) but since it was carnival I decided to go for it. I love those days when you can actually play with your makeup and wear a look as bold as you want.

HOW TO GET THIS LOOK:

1. I always start by applying an hydrating cream so I make sure that there are no dry patches underneath my foundation. I didn't apply any kind of makeup base but if you want to, this would be the moment to apply it.

2. Since the eyes were going to be quite strong, I started painting them before applying concealer or foundation. I was going out that night so I needed that my eyeshadows would last for hours. For this I used the Color Arts eye base by Essence which is an amazing low cost product. So worth it!

3. After that with my M·A·C 217 brush I buffed the Microshadow in Desert by Make Up Store (review here) to have an even base color all around the eye. I even used it under the eyes.  

4. Then I added Hustle eyeshadow on the crease with the 219 brush by M·A·C and then I used Sin on the inner corner of the eyes (both shades from the Naked Palette by UD). Finally I blended both colors together with the Fawn shade from Anastasia Beverly Hills' Contour Kit, using the Universal Eyeshadow Brush from & Other Stories.

5. To finish off the eyes I applied two coats of mascara. I used They're real by Benefit because I think it's the one that lasts the most on my lashes without moving (but it's so so hard to take off!)

6. Face time! To make my skin completely even I applied Teint Couture Long-wearing Fluid Foundation by Givenchy with the Oval 6 Brush by M·A·C (this combo is the best for my skin!) After that what I follow my usual steps to conceal my undereye area: I mixed the Pro Longwear Concealer in NC20 and NW15 by M·A·C and apply it with their 224 brush. PS. Don't forget to spread your foundation down your neck.

7. I'm still quite new to the contour & highlight technique so I'm still trying to figure out which are the brushes that work best for my face. I used the Contour Kit by Anastasia Beverly Hills (you can read the review here!) and in this case I applied it with the Pro-39 brush by Burlesque

8. I added a bit of color on my cheeks with the Cire Red Blush by & Other Stories (you can read the review here!)

9. The last step, the lips! This one is super easy, you just need to fill them with the liner Crayon Lèvres Terrybly in 2 Rose Contour By Terry. Over that I just dabbed some EOS lip balm. And thats it!

Get the Look: Blanca Suárez - Forqué Awards // Consigue el Look

Last weekend has been super cold in my city, it even snowed! So I was spending some hours, cuddling my lil dog, on my sofa with a blanket and looking for some makeup inspirations when I came across this look worn by Blanca Suárez and I fell in love with it. It's quite unusual for a red carpet appearance and I really liked the combo of big lashes and bold dark lipstick.

 

I started thinking about what products she could be wearing and I decided to create this post and share it with you so you can also try to recreate it at home. I'm not really good at applying fake lashes but I'm going to practice to get this look myself for any upcoming event because in spring you can change the lips for something more bright like a hot pink and still will be a great look. Get Katy Perry's Super Bowl Nails - Tutorial // Consigue las Uñas de Kary Perry para la Super Bowl

This Sunday will take place the Super Bowl and singer Katy Perry will perform during the halftime show. She's getting ready for that special moment and this Monday she shared on her Instagram account an image of her freshly painted toes that resembled to small football balls. As you can see just below (you chan check her Instagram here):

 

So today I bring you a super easy nail art tutorial to get your nails ready for the match. I've chosen to make it on my hands since it is so cold here that I am wearing boots all the time and I never show my toes during winter. I hope you like it!

Step 1: Paint your nails with two coats of a brown nail polish, the balls are usually reddish brown but I didn't have that one so I used 612 Bengale by Dior instead. (It was a limited edition but you can use whatever you have at home that you like).

Step 2: With an orange stick, nail art stick (if you have one) or even a needle! Draw a white vertical line in the middle of each nail. Just dip your tool on a white nail polish (I used one from the supermarket which is just 0,99 E) and start from the top and go to the bottom. If your line is a bit crooked don't worry, let it dry and fix it with a bit of brown nail polish.

Step 3: With the same technique as in the step 2, draw 4 to 5 horizontal lines crossing the vertical line. So that your nail will look like the ball seam.

Step 4: Once it's dried, add a shiny top coat to finish off your manicure and protect the lines. And you're done! As easy as that :)

How To: Emma Stone Golden Globes 2015 Look // Part II: Face & Lips

Happy Sunday! As promised, here's the second part of the tutorial on how to get Emma Stone's look of this year Golden Globes Awards. In case you missed it, here's Part I: Eyes.

 

First, before the step by step, I prepped my face with foundation and concealer. I used Fusion Ink Foundation by Yves Saint Laurent (my tone is BD 20) and applied it with the Oval 6 Brush by M·A·C (which I love  and I'll make a review of it soon because it's a very special brush).

 

To cover my undereye circles I used the Full Coverage Concealer in Orange by NYX and over that I dabbed the Pro Longwear Concealer in NW15 by M·A·C. I also used this second concealer to cover any spot or redness on my face. I only use the orange concealer to cover my dark circles when I'm going to wear a lot of makeup, not on a daily basis.

 

This is my routine but of course you can use your own with the products that work for you! And now let's go and finish the tutorial.

 

1. To get that rosy cheeks that Emma wore, I applied the Blush in Heather Silk by Wet n Wild with the Expert Face Brush by Real Techniques. This color is super bright so be careful and apply it softly from the top to the apple of your cheeks.

 

2. Apply on your cheekbones, browbones and top of your lips a highlighter. In my case I used the Radiant Touch Creamy Stick Highlighter in 100 by Kiko. I applied it directly from the tube and blended it with my own fingers to get a natural look.

 

3 & 4. Time for the lips! Emma wore a pink lipstick, it was bright but not like a neon pink. To get a similar look, first I outlined my lips with the liner Crayon Lèvres Terrybly in 2 Rose Contour By Terry. Over that, and directly from the tube, I applied the lipstick Rouge in Love in 383N Midnight Crush by Lancôme. I think the final result looks almost the same as the color from Emma Stone. Tip: She has a big mouth so if you want to get a similar look you can make your lips appear bigger by drawing them a bit outside the lines with the lipliner.

 

Aaaaand this is the final look on me. I did on myself a quick fake curly bob and put on some dangling earrings from Zara to add a bit of glam. It's not my best photo ever but at least you can see the whole makeup (seriously that day the camera was all against me) anyway, I hope you like it! Kisses
 

How To: Emma Stone Golden Globes 2015 Look // Part I: Eyes

Finally! The look worn by Emma Stone to this year Golden Globes Awards! I've made a step by step tutorial on how to get it. I've divided it in two parts, part I for the eyes and part II for the rest of the face. Get ready for a long post full of pictures, tips and tricks that will help you achieve this beautiful makeup look. Enjoy it!

P.S: At the end of the post you can find a big picture with all the steps together, so you can Pin It or save it on your computer just in case you want a complete visual guide to recreate this at home.

1. Start by prepping your eyes with an eyeshadow base, it will make your shadows last longer and they'll stick better. I used Color Arts Eye Base by Essence. 2. After applying it directly onto the lid I made small touches to distribute it evenly and then waited for it to dry completely.

3. To have an even color on the lid and take away any redness I put Pro Longwear Concealer by M·A·C (my shade is NW15) with the concealer brush by Beter. Make sure you cover the entire area up to the brow. 4. I blended the concealer with 224 Brush by M·A·C and with the same brush I applied a nude matte eyeshadow (I used Virgin from Urban Decay Naked Palette).

5 & 6. To create the black cat eye shape, I applied the cream eyeshadow Color Tattoo in Timeless Black by Maybelline with the Shadow/Liner Brush by Benefit. I used its hard bristles to help me create the outer corner. Don't worry if it's not perfect, you can correct it later. This step will help you to create the dark base from where we start working.

7 & 8. To darken the black and define completely the cat eye shape y dabbed black matte eyeshadow all over the cream shadow. For this I used the Artist Shadow in M100 Black by Make Up Forever and the Eyes 212 Brush by Kiko (its short bristles and elongated shape are perfect to blend the eyeshadow and staying into the cat eye shape without having too much fall out).

9. One of the characteristics of this look is that on the outer corner the black shade turns into a deep glittery navy shade. I didn't have one like that so I cheated and created it by using this combo. First, with the 219 Pencil Brush by M·A·C, I applied (just on the outer corner) the blue eyeshadow Bolt from the Ultra Mattes Brights Palette from Sleek. 10. After that, to add the glitter touch, I dabbed over the blue shade the Liquid Eyeliner in 27 Silver by Inglot using the fine brush that comes with it.

 

11. Nex step is eyeliner. From the outer corner up to the middle of the lower lash line I used Stylo Yeux Waterproof in 30 Marine by Chanel. 12. Since I didn't have a white glitter liner I mixed two products again to get the same results. First I used the Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk by NYX and after that, the same liquid glitter eyeliner by Inglot to draw the line up to the inner corner. Tip: If your line is wider than you wanted or if there's too much glitter fall out, don't worry, you can correct it with a cotton bud and some micellar water.

13. Add mascara on your top lashes and also on your bottom lashes. For this look I used the Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir 10 by Chanel. Tip: If you want to achieve the spidery bottom lashes of Emma Stone, stick them in groups using the tip of the mascara's wand. 14. To finish the look I draw and brushed my eyebrows and applied concealer all around the eye to correct any line that could have gone wrong and define completely the final shape.
